University Centre Bishop Burton and Bishop Burton College, based in East Yorkshire, has a well-deserved reputation for being one of the finest providers of equine courses anywhere in the country.

Bishop Burton College runs equine apprenticeships and further education courses, whilst University Centre Bishop Burton delivers a wide range of degree programmes covering all aspects of the industry and has an outstanding track record of student success. Students can specialise in various areas including equine science, equine therapy and equine health and nutrition.

The state-of-the-art complex includes six indoor and outdoor arenas, a therapy centre with a water treadmill, CET equine spa, solarium and Zamar, rider fitness and performance suite and stabling for over 100 horses. Specialist equipment includes Quintic Gait Analysis software, FLIR thermal imaging cameras, Polar heart monitors, Televet ECG, Synchronicity rein tension gauges, Noldus Observe XP software and extensive laboratory-based equipment.

Bishop Burton's commercial equine centre hosts an extensive range of regional, national and international competitions, demonstrations and clinics, and is a BHS training and examination centre. Equine students gain experience by working alongside the tutors and instructors at these events, developing the practical skills needed to work in the industry.
