Those of you that have seen Tottie’s recent social media activity will be aware that they have been searching for aspiring models with a passion for horses to apply to be the face of the brand. It signals an exciting period in the brand’s history.
Tottie was taken over by new management just over 12 months ago. Drastic changes were made and a specialist team were hand-picked to re-launch it. The brief was to create a collection that was fashion-led yet functional, inspirational yet practical.
The exciting new range known as has been designed with the young fashion concious female rider in mind, the range is unique and fresh, has co-ordinating horse products and is even practical as leisure/sportswear.
With an innovative new range, the team wanted an innovative launch. The focus needed to be on real people, more importantly, real riders so the #IamTottie model search was created.
Rachel Bowles, Director of Marketing said “We’re very conscious of how savvy our customers are; they will be the ones that deliver their verdict on our new range so we wanted them involved before we took it to the general public.”
We used Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to get young equestrians involved; although tough, we managed to whittle 250 entrants down to a lucky few young riders who took part in a casting session followed by a full shoot with the new range which the girls all loved – they were so impressed that they have all agreed to be involved on an ongoing basis.
With such a promising review, we are eagerly awaiting the public launch of the new range at the end of March when the collection will be available at www.tottie.co.uk/homepage/.
