Lorenzo, The Flying Frenchman, with his team of fabulous horses from the Camargue region of Southern France, is confirmed to be the headline display for Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) 2019. Having made his HOYS debut in 2004, the talented horseman has gone on to showcase his talents around the world and has even graced numerous members of the royal family with his breath-taking display.
The equestrian acrobat whose real name is Laurent Serre, is set to thrill audiences throughout the week of HOYS with his daredevil stunts consisting of jumping over jumps and gliding through obstacles all whilst standing poker straight on the backs of two horses. His strength, balance and communication with his horses are astonishing and the relationship he has built with his horses is mesmerising. The display will showcase up to twelve bareback horses that ride alongside him in the Andrews Bowen International Arena and there will be several surprises in store.
Emma Williams, Event Director for Horse of the Year Show, commented: "We are thrilled to be bringing Lorenzo and his magnificent horses back to Horse of the Year Show once again, with a new and exciting display to wow the HOYS audience. The dedication to the training of his animals and the bond between him and his horses is plain for all to see and is beyond impressive. Lorenzo’s motto is ‘live your passion to the full’ and that is exactly what Horse of the Year Show is all about; bringing together likeminded individuals who all share a passion for horses and wish to immerse themselves in a true equestrian utopia for one week of the year!”
Lorenzo's daily performances (twice Saturday) will run alongside show jumping, showing, Pony Club mounted games, double-harness scurry racing and other equestrian displays as the world-renowned horse show celebrates another fabulous year. More than 60,000 spectators are expected to attend the show - regarded at the “Ultimate Celebration of the Horse” - throughout the week. Whilst Lorenzo will not be performing in the Sunday evening performance, why not make the most of
the Super Sunday ‘all-day’ ticket package which is new for this year, where visitors can not only witness Lorenzo’s incredible display in the daytime performance, but also enjoy the exciting new plans which are yet to be announced for the Sunday evening performance. More information coming soon…..
