Aivly Country Store, of Ringwood, Hampshire, was crowned winner of the BETA Lorinery Retail Display Competition for the second time at the British Equestrian Trade Association’s Business Awards last night.
The award, which is supported by the Worshipful Company of Loriners, is designed to encourage high standards of in-store bit and bitting displays, with the provision of information and educational material for consumers.
Judges praised the store for its well-lit and extensively stocked displays. “Everything was arranged with care and in logical categories,” they said. “We thought the lorinery bitting information points, which helped to clarify the details of bit function and selection, were very helpful and Aivly is to be congratulated on leading the field with its comprehensive arrangements.”
Shop manager Matthew Chard was presented with the trophy and a £250 lorinery shopping voucher. BETA executive director Claire Williams added: “Aivly really ticked all the boxes to create bitting displays that were not only eye-catching and attractive, but also really helped to bust some of the myths and misunderstanding that surrounds this sector.”
