The Hickstead Box Office has officially opened, with tickets going on sale for its two flagship international events.

Next season is set to be an extra special year, as 2020 marks 60 years since the All England Jumping Course first opened. After the inaugural Hickstead events were held in 1960, the showground quickly grew to become one of the best-known showjumping venues in the world.

The first Hickstead Derby was held in 1961, so next summer will also see the running of the 60th Al Shira’aa Derby, which is held on the Sunday afternoon of the Al Shira’aa Hickstead Derby Meeting (25-28 June). Expect an extra special year of celebrations as Hickstead looks back over the remarkable history of the All England Jumping Course and its most iconic class.

The showground’s 60th celebrations will continue during the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ of Great Britain at the Longines Royal International Horse Show (21-26 July). This five-star event boasts an array of thrilling showjumping, including the Longines BHS King George V Gold Cup, the Science Supplements BHS Queen Elizabeth II Cup, the BEMER Speed Classic and, of course, the prestigious international team competition - the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ of Great Britain.

Both events also feature national showjumping, championship showing classes, carriage driving and lots more. The fabulous shopping is another big draw, with hundreds of tradestands in the Charles Owen Shopping Village selling everything from clothing, footwear, tack, country goods, gifts and more. There is plenty of entertainment for children in the Family Fun Zone, along with a range of bars, eateries and food stands for all the family to enjoy.

Tickets start from just £20, with discounts available for senior citizens and children. Savings are also available on all tickets bought in advance of the shows. Visitors can also choose to upgrade to one of the luxurious hospitality options available, ranging from the Members’ Restaurant to the Al Shira’aa Suite and Private Boxes, all of which offer the best view of the action in the Longines International Arena.

Annual membership is an extremely good value option, giving access to every day of the Hickstead season as well as a host of other sporting fixtures including racing, polo and cricket.
