Craig Wins British Horse Feeds Recognition Award
After a successful weekend at the British Horse Feeds Red Dagon Festival of Endurance there was one last prize to be awarded!
Like any competition, not just in Endurance, it is always helpful to have someone there to support and offer a helping hand.
The prestigious British Horse Feeds Recognition Award for Best Crew Member 2017 was created to give riders the chance to show some appreciation by nominating their supporters for the title.
After this years’ event the award for Best Crew Member went to Craig Chadwick from Stoke on Trent.

Craig, nominated by his 17-year-old daughter Charlotte, was supporting both his wife Ruth and Charlotte, throughout the competition.
Charlotte nominated her Dad because he isn’t just a crew member and Dad; he is Charlotte’s best friend.
Said Charlotte: “My Dad puts his heart and soul into crewing whenever we go out competing, and has driven me across the UK and overseas to Portugal and Holland so I can do what I love, endurance.”
Charlotte continued: “His hard work isn’t just at competitions; he works extremely hard at home and knows my horses inside out.”
Craig’s wife has been competing in Endurance for 15 years and has passed the love for the sport on to Charlotte who became interested in the discipline at the young age of seven.
With a yard of five horses and Charlotte competing internationally for Great Britain, this means the family has done many miles of travelling including the European Championships in Portugal.
Said Craig: “It was such a surprise that I was chosen for the award. The British Horse Feeds Red Dragon Festival of Endurance was great and we really enjoyed our weekend there.”
