The Bucas Smartex rangehas been offering durability, strength and quality for over 25 years and for Autumn 2015 the brand has given this Bucas favourite some innovative design changes to make life even easier!
Magnetic Closures - From Autumn 2015 the Smartex range will feature a new front fastening system. The patented stainless steel Click’n Go fastening now has a magnetic “Snap -lock” front panel. Dispensing with the original internal Velcro panel, this ingenious fastening means there is less of an overlap at the chest. The magnetic touch pads give a neat and secure finish removing the bulk while Click‘n Go external fastening gives the Smartex range a truly secure and comfortable finish.
Internal surcingles - Another Bucas design innovation of placing the surcingles on the inside of the rug has proved to be hugely successful and popular. Not only does it prevent the surcingles becoming caught on external objects – it also keeps them clean and free from rain and mud.
These two design details make this Smart rug one step ahead of the competition. Tried and tested by leading Olympic riders Carl Hester, Charlotte Dujardin, Ben Maher and Mary King the new Smartex has a thumbs up from all of them!
The great things that make the Smartex rug a smart alternative are still there: an outer shell made from Ballistic nylon which is waterproof, breathable and extremely tough; the unique Bucas Stay-Dry lining, which quickly wicks away moisture from the horse’s skin, leaving it dry and comfortable at all times; three different weights Smartex Rain, Smartex Medium and Smartex Extra all with attachment points to add a Combi Neck Cover which is available in 2 weights to ensure that your horse is well and truly covered and a tail flap for added protection. For horses with very big, deep necks, Bucas also offers a Big Neck version.
