The triumphant ‘golden girls’ that made for such a fantastic result at this weekend’s FEI Eventing European Championships at Avenches in Switzerland are all heading to Osberton International this week.
With a team gold medal for Nicola Wilson, Piggy March, Kitty King and Ros Canter, as well as individual gold for Nicola, silver for Piggy and bronze for Sarah Bullimore, the result was simply outstanding, while Izzy Taylor also had a great run to finish in tenth place.
Osberton International - September 30 to October 3 provides a fantastic opportunity to see all riders in action and to follow their recent run of success and form.
Said organiser Stuart Buntine: “The result was just outstanding and we are delighted that all six riders head to Osberton International, a great place to continue celebrating their success with their younger horses.
“Osberton is well known for producing future global stars with our many graduates performing on the world’s stage in their more advanced years.”
Nicola’s ride, JL Dublin; Kitty’s grey, Vendreti Biats; Ros with Allstar B; Sarah’s chestnut Corouet and Izzy’s ride Monkeying Around are all Osberton graduates.

Sarah and Corouet won the British Eventing Seven-Year-Old Young Horse Championship in 2018 while Kitty’s ride Vendreti Biats was third the Seven-Year-Old section back in 2016.
In what has been a fantastic run of success Team GB now hold Olympic, World and European Team Titles while British riders currently have their name on Burghley, Badminton, Pau, Luhumulen and Kentucky winning trophies.
As well as the ‘golden girls’ two of our gold medal winning team from Tokyo are at Osberton too with Laura Collett and Oliver Townend making their way to the Nottinghamshire venue.
Adds Stuart: “We are all very excited about this year’s Osberton International, we have fantastic entries, leading riders, top class horses, carriage driving and so much more over the four days to make a great family day out.
“Will this year’s winners be on the team at Paris 2024 - this weekend is the chance to come and see them as they make their way to podium positions.”
Entry to this year’s Osberton International is free just car parking to pay.
