Moorcroft Equine Rehabilitation Centre are running an Introduction to PRP Treatments by Janet Hadfield from Advanced Biologics Research LTD at their base in West Sussex. This event is taking place on Saturday 11th November 2023 – from 12 pm to 1:30 pm. This is a free event that anyone can join.
PRP provides a regenerative approach to the treatment of injuries and chronic conditions such as osteo-arthritis by assisting the regeneration of cartilage and the reduction in pain. PRP treatment has been well-researched for the treatment of osteoarthritis and tendon and ligament injuries. PRP uses the horse's own platelets to accelerate the healing process of injured tendons and ligaments.
At this event, there will be full explanations and demonstrations as to how these excellent healing treatments work on horses. Plenty of horses have already benefitted from this treatment and you will see these horses working with a full explanation of the ailments that were healed.
Who are Moorcroft Equine Rehabilitation Centre?
Moorcroft are a charity that focuses on rehabilitating all horses that need their help. They receive many horses straight after surgery and do all the work to safely and soundly return these horses to work. They have much experience with former racehorses too, but they also help all other horses after time off, lameness and/or back issues and focus on helping the rider/owner to increase their understanding of the conditions that their horse is dealing with. They have been participating in research evaluating the use of PRP as a very useful regenerative healing system. Moorcroft has 17 years of real experience in the rehabilitation of horses. They concentrate on looking at the whole horse and work on constant assessment and re assessment and do not rely on guesswork or chance.
