DYLAN, a six-year-old dark bay gelding owned by Hannah Scully from Lincoln has been chosen as ‘The Face of TopSpec 2016’ in a nationwide competition.
For Hannah, who runs a busy livery yard and rides full time, Dylan, also known as Rebel’s Dylan in the eventing world, is very special and although their partnership is relatively new they have had a fantastic season.
Their prizes include £500 worth of TopSpec feed, a professional photo-shoot and framed print and a top of the range Horseware Turnout Rug.
Said Hannah: “I was over the moon when I was told Dylan had won. He is such a character and very special to me. Over the last year I have produced him up to Novice level and he competed in his first 1* six-year-old class at Osberton at the end of the season.
“Dylan suffers from a form of alopecia where his immune system attacks the hair follicles causing him to have bald patches all over his body and clumps of his mane and tail fall out.
“However since buying him in 2014 he has been fed TopSpec Comprehensive Feed Balancer and his coat looks fab and you wouldn’t even notice he had anything wrong with him now. What a difference a good balanced diet has made!
“He has transformed from a ‘bog monster’ to a super event horse and I couldn’t be happier with him. This season is going to be a very exciting one and we are hoping to step up to intermediate level and possibly complete our first 2* event.
“He is fed a diet of TopSpec Comprehensive Feed Balancer and TopChop Lite and couldn’t look any better.”
