NEW and wowing the crowds at Equifest 2016 will be The Iberian Dressage Masters classes.
Held at East of England Showground, Peterborough, August 17 to 21 the event is one of the largest shows in the equestrian calendar and also a hugely enjoyable occasion for all the family.
The Iberian Dressage Masters was created for Iberian horse owners, riders and supporters – including the Spanish Pura Raza Española (PRE) and Portuguese Pura Sangre Lusitano (PSL), more commonly known as Andalusians and Lusitanos to compete in dressage competitions with horses of a similar origin.
It aims to promote the Iberian breeds within Great Britain and to promote better representation at both local and national events.
Betsy Branyan of Equifest said: “As Equifest continues to grow and develop we are always delighted to hear from groups and associations wanting to be a part of the five days.
“The Iberian Dressage Masters fits in perfectly with our aims and goals and we are looking forward to watching their classes.”
Equifest will host the UK qualifying classes for the prestigious MCI Iberian Dressage European Championships held each autumn on the continent which this year will take place in October in Northern Italy.
A twist to the norm is that riders are able to compete in the traditional dress of Spain and Portugal or classic British dressage attire if they prefer.
Riders will showcase exactly what their horses can do, combing the strength and elegance of these beautiful Iberian horses.
Classes range from young horse to Grand Prix, so if you have an Iberian horse become a member and enter these fantastic classes at Equifest.
