The Equitop Myoplast Senior Foxhunter Masters goes to Bex Mason and Vancurtis
The highly anticipated Equitop Myoplast Senior Foxhunter Masters saw 11 competitors progress through to the thrilling jump-off on Day 4 at the British Showjumping National Championship 2019, held at NAEC Stoneleigh. With the top four in the class offering a qualification for Horse of the Year Show (HOYS), the pressure was on. It was Bex Mason who shone through in the fierce competition aboard seven year old Vancurtis, owned by Team Crows Nest.

“I wasn’t sure I would be able to make the winning turn, thankfully I got deep to the double prior to the upright, meaning that I landed short to enable me to make the turn,” explained Bex.
Having been a partnership since Vancurtis was an unbroken three year old, the combination have gone from strength to strength. Bex continues: “I’ve produced her up through the levels, and she just keeps surprising us with how much talent she has.”
Completing the jump-off round in 39.49 seconds, the two made it home with a time that was impossible for any other competitors to catch. The combination came to the National Championships purely for this class, so will be going away with a 100% success rate.
