The Equerry Bolesworth International - Porsche Ride & Drive
LAST year’s fast and furious Ride & Drive at the Equerry Bolesworth International Horse Show proved a sure fire hit with competitors, celebrities and the early evening ringside spectators alike.
And this new the class has a super-charged energy thanks to sponsorship from Porsche Centre Chester which will see the Porsche Cayenne Coupé in action throughout the competition.
A new innovation in 2018, the competition had everyone either on the edge of their seats or jumping for joy as riders and drivers took on the battle royal for the coveted podium finish.
This year’s Porsche Centre Chester Ride & Drive will take place on the Saturday evening, June 15 and the competition will first see riders jump a traditional show jumping course against the clock.
They will then make a quick dash to the Porsche Cayenne Coupé for their celebrity team mate to drive, through a course of cones to try and take the winning podium position.
Carl Hazelton, Centre Principal from Porsche Centre Chester said: “We are really pleased to be involved in the Bolesworth International Horse Show and are looking forward to showcasing the New Cayenne Coupé in such a special arena.”
Added Nina Barbour of Bolesworth International: “After last year’s success which proved highly competitive as well as a lot of fun we knew we had to bring the competition back for 2019.
“Both the riders and celebrity drivers really got behind the class and we are hoping for even more high profile names to take part this year.
“The Porsche Centre Chester Ride & Drive provides great family entertainment as well as brilliant sport as riders tackle the show jumping course as fast as they can and seeing everyone thoroughly enjoying the full on speed was just brilliant.”
The new Porsche Cayenne Coupé is the sportiest member of the third generation Cayenne family to date and offers a broader range of standard equipment compared to the Cayenne. The Cayenne Coupé has a sharply styled design and offers a 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 engine with twin-scroll turbocharger.
As night falls, the Saturday evening party continues in Club Boles, with Australian sensations ‘Furnace and the Fundamentals’ who will be bringing their signature show ‘Furnapalooza’ to Bolesworth.
Packed with a mind-boggling, memory-triggering matrix of music, complete with inflatables and light up suits! Thousands of fans across Australia and the UK have seen the band’s show-stopping performances at Edinburgh Fringe, New Year’s Eve on Sydney Harbour and countless packed club shows!
