Organised by the team at BEDE Events, Firle Place takes place on May 14 and 15, and is also the most southern venue and the first British Eventing Area Festival in the calendar.

Said Stuart Buntine of BEDE: “We are delighted to have secured backing from Dodson & Horrell with the team supporting a number of BEDE run events for many years.

“This new sponsorship is very much appreciated and we look forward to making the most of the opportunity for the brand in such a superb setting.”

Dodson & Horrell Managing Director, Sam Horrell commented: “We are proud to further our support for BEDE and cement our involvement in Firle’s longstanding history as a hugely popular and competitive event. We are looking forward to providing additional nutritional support to our customers and stockists in the South of the country and are excited about attending this wonderful event in May.

Added Stuart: “The British Eventing Area Festivals are a fantastic initiative for the sport in general but especially for grass roots riders wanting to work towards a championship atmosphere in a stunning location.”

Area Championships will be held for BE80(T), BE80(T) Open, BE90, BE90 Open, BE100 and BE100 Open levels.

Firle will also include regional final qualifications at BE80(T), BE90 and BE100 with the top percentage of combinations going on to compete at the BE90 and BE 100 Championships held at Badminton and the BE80(T) Championship at Bramham.

Held in the South Downs National Park in the village of Firle, Sussex, the idyllic Firle Estate was used as a primary location in the new film adaptation of Jane Austen’s  beloved classic Emma which starred Anya Taylor-Joy, Bill Nighy, Johnny Flynn and Miranda Hart.

The Firle Estate sits in the heart of the South Downs National Park and is just 60 miles from the centre of London. It incorporates several villages and farms spread over rolling hills, with Firle a thriving rural community set in one of the most picturesque parts of the United Kingdom.

From craft stalls to dog shows and dog agility, terrier racing, gun dog displays and a wide range of artisan food and drink stalls, the event is one not to be missed in the south of the country.

If you are a classic car fan, Brighton SexMogs will be in attendance with their Classic Morgan Cars.

A fantastic funfair will include bungy trampolines, a small children’s carousel, mini bumper cars and an inflatable slide if you’re looking for some good old fashioned fun.

While the hugely popular Dog and Duck display run by the legendary Chris Jupp with his sheepdog and ducks will also be on hand to entertain the crowds.
