Veterinary Thermal Imaging (VTI) has introduced a new ‘All Season’ package, to help professional and amateur riders monitor their horses during the season.
“Lots of people think of VTI as an important part of monitoring rehabilitation, but it’s incredibly useful as a preventative tool too,” says Helen Morrell, Managing Director of VTI. “Large scale, published research has shown that VTI can detect, for example, tendon issues up to two weeks before breakdown occurs.
“We want to support eventers through the 2014 season, and offer vets, riders and trainers a taste of just how useful VTI can be as a routine part of horse care. The All-Season package does just this, in a very affordable way. With a complete overview scan at the start of the season, and follow-up reports at mid and end of season for just £250* which is a saving of £440 on booking three individual complete scans.

The pre, mid and end of season scans will give an overview of the horse, helping to pinpoint hot spots and cold spots that might be indicative of an underlying issue. After the overview scan, a report will be compiled for reference, and this can also be sent to the horse’s vet, physio or anyone else involved in the horse’s care.
The first overview scan must be booked to take place before 31st March, 2014. The scan fee of £250 must be paid at the time of the first consultation, and appointments made for the next two scans at the time of the first consultation. *Travel costs will be added. Terms and conditions apply.
