Hartpury has launched a new bursary scheme to help more UK students looking for careers working with animals and in farming to benefit from its world-leading facilities.
The Guyll-Leng Bursary is open to applicants from households with limited income and demanding circumstances wishing to study Agriculture, Animal, Equine and related land-based subjects at college level. It offers financial assistance for up to three years of study, including work placements, to help new or returning students towards the costs of accommodation, subsistence, travel, trips, sporting participation, books, equipment and other course-related expenses.

“We’re pleased to offer a wide range of financial assistance schemes to enable students from a variety of backgrounds an opportunity to study at Hartpury and fulfil their potential with us.
“The new Guyll-Leng Bursary, provided by the Guyll-Leng Charitable Trust, will enable more UK students to access our world-leading Agriculture, Animal, Equine and related land-based facilities.
“We look forward to receiving applications and welcoming prospective students to our future open days when they can meet staff and view our world-leading facilities.”
Hartpury College and the University Centre Hartpury, based in Gloucestershire, is one of the UK’s leading land-based sports educational establishments. Its stunning campus covers more than 360 hectares and is located close to both Gloucester and Cheltenham.
Hartpury offers A-levels and BTEC Diplomas to more than 1,700 full-time students, as well as professional courses in leadership and management, teaching and training, animal care, dog grooming, equine studies, land-based studies, first aid and health and safety. In addition, it has more than 1,600 students working towards foundation degrees, honours degrees and post-graduate qualifications in equine, sport and animal and land-based studies.
