Experts in steaming hay and haylage - HAYGAIN are delighted to sponsor the HAYGAIN Nutritional Helpline of the Year Award for a fourth year at the BETA Gala Dinner and Business Awards.
The HAYGAIN Nutritional Helpline of the Year is awarded for excellent feed advice, through a feed or supplements company telephone helpline.
The BETA Business Awards are presented at the BETA Gala Dinner in February, and will go to the helpline offering the best practical feeding guidance tailored to individual equine needs.
Allen & Page scooped the 2013 award, thanks to the superb running of their nutritional helpline for horse owners.
Rachel Parrott, who leads the Nutritional team, said: “We’re all very proud of our nutritional helpline and to win the award, having previously been runner-up, is testament to the hard work put in by all the team here at Allen & Page. We are so pleased that people not only use, but also appreciate our helpline, and we hope it continues to be the first port of call for any equine nutritional questions. Thank you to everyone who voted; to be recognised in such a way is truly a great honour!”
Award sponsor HAYGAIN hay steamers, made in Britain by Propress Equine, transform varying qualities of hay and haylage into a consistent supply of hygienically clean, palatable forage.
“Forage makes up the biggest part of the equine diet and is the first place you start when giving nutritional advice. From there you use hard feed and supplements to meet the individual requirements of the horse” said Brian Fillery of Propress Equine.
“Forage goes hand in hand with compound feeds and supplements, and we are pleased to support this important BETA Business Award.”
Private and professional horse owners, as well as feed merchants, are invited to send in their nominations for the HAYGAIN Nutritional Helpline of the Year Award.
Companies supplying equine feeds, feed balancers, forages and supplements are eligible.
