Hiho Silver has been granted an exclusive licence from The Thelwell
Estate, to create a jewellery range using Norman Thelwell’s well-known cartoons
featuring fat ponies and little riders.

“We are so pleased to be able to share this news with everyone,” said Emma
Warren of Hiho Silver. “Thelwell is part of most equestrian childhoods as the
drawings and the situations depicted are relatable to anyone who’s involved
with horses at any level. We love the fun of Thelwell’s drawings and we’re
delighted that we can now use these to create jewellery that will make people
smile and remember fun, happy times.”

As mentioned, Hiho Silver will use Thelwell’s cartoons to create a range of
exclusive sterling silver jewellery. With its large following in the equestrian
and country sector, Thelwell is an excellent fit for the brand. It is planned
that the first collection pieces based on a celebration theme will make their
debut at this year’s Royal Highland Show.

“We feel very honoured to be working with Hiho, and look forward to a long and
happy partnership,” said Karen Addison on behalf of The Thelwell Estate. “We
know that they understand the market and will produce beautiful quality gifts
depicting the iconic humour of the Thelwell ponies.”

“We’re delighted to be launching the collection at such as prestigious show,”
said Emma. “We have great affection for our Northern customers who come and see
us at shows and buy online. We thought it would be lovely to let them have the
first look at this really exciting, fun collection.”
