Equestrian broadcaster Horse & Country TV has today launched a complete refresh of its UK website, horseandcountry.tv. As the explosive growth of online video continues, the new site has been designed to showcase the unrivalled breadth and depth of H&C’s video content.
The site consists of a series of modules which can be updated and re-organised by H&C at any time to reflect the hot topics of the moment. Each module takes the user through to a wealth of content on the subject in question. Key categories include:
The H&C All Stars
The recent Blue Chip All Star Academy series was one of H&C’s most successful ever programmes. And it was only the beginning of the story as the four All Stars, Rhi, Lucy, Josh and Issy, are now producing regular video blogs for H&C where viewers can follow their progress as they build their equestrian careers. Overall winner Rhi made her presenting debut this weekend at Hickstead and her interviews and videos, along with those of all the other All Stars, can be seen on the site.
News
As well as all of H&C’s own articles and updates, H&C’s News service also features the very best news from across the equestrian media landscape. So if you want the latest from Horse & Hound, the FEI, Horsetalk, Eventing Nation and many other sources, it’s all together in one place offering a one-stop shop to the horse lover and horse sport fan. H&C’s News can also be searched by discipline so you always get straight to what you want. H&C’s News service is also available as a handy App for Android and iPhone. Direct links to the App stores can be found on the News page.
Rio News
For the Olympics H&C has created a dedicated Rio News section that will contain up to the minute reports across all three disciplines. And for those who are new to the sport, or who want to brush up on less familiar disciplines, there are already some handy guides in place.
Advice
The advice module is a rich source of information for riders of all levels across a wide range of topics. There are tips from some of the world’s best riders including Mark Todd, Trevor Breen, Lucinda Green, Jock Paget and Paul Tapner. And there’s also a wealth of expert advice on how to keep your horse in top shape and spot the tell-tale signs of conditions that can strike at any time. So whether it’s Sam Griffiths helping you over skinnies or recognising when your horse is tying-up, the Advice section is the place to go.
One other module should prove of great interest to visitors to the site, H&C’s annual viewer survey. That’s because one lucky respondent will win a £500 voucher to spend with online retailer Viovet.co.uk There are also two second prizes of £250 vouchers.
Richard Burdett, H&C’s Managing Director, said, “We’re producing more equestrian video than anyone else in the UK. The new site displays this ever-growing resource to best effect and enables users to get right to what they want as quickly as possible.”
