HorseFest THE Exciting New OutdoorSummer Festival for Horse Lovers!
WANT to spend time with like-minded horse lovers in a picturesque outdoor location this coming summer?
HorseFest is a fantastic new, three day festival, taking place from July 23 to 25, for all those horse fans with an interest in the equine world, allowing them to come together, learn, celebrate, have fun and create special memories.
Held at the stunning Weston Park in Shropshire, you can camp or ‘glamp’ to fully embrace the outdoors, experience festival life and feel part of the HorseFest tribe. If sleeping under canvas isn’t your thing, you can add a touch of luxury to your weekend and stay in the magnificent Weston Park House or one of its stunning cottages.
The event promises a packed line-up that includes a variety of interactive and inclusive performances and demonstrations from top riders and experts across all areas of the equestrian world, allowing HorseFest festivalgoers to learn and develop their own knowledge in an inspirational and caring environment.
Already signed up to appear are mother and daughter eventing duo, Mary and Emily King and event rider and presenter Jonty Evans, with the much heralded Cooley Rorkes Drift, known as Art, who captured the hearts of thousands when crowd-funding saved Jonty from losing the ride.
The very own Tiger himself, Jay Halim, will be passing on his show jumping tips for the top, while Grand Prix dressage rider, Sam Turner, will showcase the training techniques that have seen her reach the upper echelons of the sport with her traditional gypsy cob, Billy Whiz.
Steph Croxford, so well-known for her incredible partnership with Mr President, will impart her many years of knowledge when producing the handsome, driving-bred chestnut during a partnership that lasted at Grand Prix dressage level for more than 10 years.
Natural horseman Jason Webb and performance psychologist Charlie Unwin are set to entertain with an exciting collaboration, demonstrating their skills and expertise in developing the minds of both rider and horse, while action man extraordinaire, Ben Atkinson, highly regarded for his liberty work and classical dressage, is sure to leave you inspired and enthralled with his incredible team of horses.
Gillian Higgins the brains behind Horses Inside Out will also be in attendance providing a fascinating insight into equine locomotion, training, management and welfare from an anatomical perspective.
With leading names already signed up, topics covered will include training on and off the ground, saddlery fitting, biomechanics, physiology of horse and rider and many more – there will be something for everyone to get involved with and enjoy whilst learning.
As well as the educational element, socialising is a key ingredient in the HorseFest mix, and the horse world does love a party!
At night, unwind, relax or dance the night away with the live music and entertainment or get involved with fun quizzes as you treat yourself to a drink or two!
Throughout the event there will be a variety of tasty and innovative food stalls and bars as well as a shopping village that will include horsey and lifestyle stands to browse and enjoy.
Not forgetting the little ones, the festival will have fairground activities, a play area, arts and crafts and hugely popular hobby horse races to keep children entertained.
