Imogen Murray of M.S. Team Eventing is the next rider to receive ‘the call’ confirming that their Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials entry for 2017 has been accepted from the waitlist, replacing the newly withdrawn Andreas Dibowski and FRH Butts Avedon.
Imogen brings forward Mr & Mrs Ward’s Ivar Gooden, the 10-year-old gelding by Young Convinced, who she finished 12th with in the Blenheim Palace CCI*** in 2016. The pair are in great form already this season with 2nd place finish in the Oasby Open Intermediate and Great Witchingham Advanced Intermediate, and a win in the Belton International U25 Advanced, finishing 6th overall.

2017 will be a first Badminton appearance for both horse and rider, and a 2nd CCI**** for Imogen, who completed Burghley in 2014.
“The call came through at 7.20am and caught us all in our PJs, celebrating with a cup for Yorkshire’s finest wasn’t really how we envisaged celebrating the news” – Kim Murray
“I’m completely gutted for Andreas having to withdraw, but absolutely ecstatic to now be accepted in our first badminton. Ivar Gooden will now be wrapped in bubble wrap as the countdown begins.” – Imogen Murray
Imogen now bids to be this year’s youngest British rider and will start at number 15 with a Thursday dressage.
