Horse of the Year Show is proud to present the new HOYS Live Zone for 2017 which will be located in the renowned HOYS Retail Village at the NEC Birmingham from 4th – 8th October. The new staged area will incorporate a fabulous line up of guest speakers, interactive sessions, celebrity rider signings and talks from leading industry experts providing visitors with the opportunity to get more involved than ever before. What’s On?
Staying supple & injury free: if you suffer from stiffness or bad posture then there will be a daily interactive Equine Pilates session presented by Sue Gould-Wright of Equestrian Pilates. Sue will have you limbered up in no time with some simple yet effective exercises which you can do at home or at the yard. And if it is more those niggling aches and pains that you are worried about, then Debbie Rolmanis from db Muscle Therapy will be doing daily sessions on How to Stay Injury Free; from Pain to Performance showing you how to strengthen key areas to keep you at the top of your game.
In Tip Top condition: From a horse health perspective, Simon Constable Equine Vets will be there each day to give expert advice on different health conditions so that you can spot the first signs of there being anything wrong with your horse. On Wednesday and Thursday there will also be invaluable Health & Nutrition advice from two leading equine nutrition companies.
Charity of the Year: The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association will be at HOYS this year as our official charity. They will be putting on demonstrations in the HOYS Live Zone displaying how intelligent their Guide Dogs are and what a vital role they play in their owner’s lives.
Learn from the pros: Our top international riders (including a guest appearance from Charlotte Dujardin on Dressage Thursday!) will be captivating the crowds with a Live Q&A session on stage followed by a rider signing - the ultimate keepsake! There will also be guest speakers from numerous disciplines including The Pony Club, Equestrian Vaulting, British Showjumping and Showing so you can find out what it takes to be the best of the best.
