Have you ever wanted to learn equine massage? Moorcroft Equine is running an equine massage course with Kate Akers.
Saturday 2nd December 2023
10am – 12.30pm approx
An informative morning, firstly discussing the positive effects of massage, different types of massage and the effects, how massage can help your horse’s comfort and performance, discussing a good “feel” and how to tell if your horse is “tight”. Followed by a discussion on the superficial muscle anatomy, which muscles are where, what they do and how they influence the horse’s performance.
To then go into a demonstration of some massage techniques which are user friendly and effective for people to use on their horses at home, to help with any discomfort. Followed on by one to one session on the horses in the barn to help guide people and answer any questions.
What can people expect to learn?
I hope that people will come away with a good understanding of how massage can help their horse. The importance of taking good care of the musculature which is involved.
