LeMieux, the premium equine product manufacturer, has confirmed its sponsorship of the La Liga Awards at Horse of the Year Show for the next three years. The La Liga Consistency Awards are designed to award the successes of horses and ponies during the outdoor qualifying season. Competitors can gain points towards the La Liga Awards for the most consistent animal, when placed fifth and above in an eligible class at a qualifying show. These points are added to the relevant award league tables and totalled up in September, the end of the outdoor season.

The LeMieux brand is a firm favourite with some of the country’s top showing riders, including Jayne Ross and Katie Jerram, and leading M&M rider and producer Sam Roberts. Carl Hester, Charlotte Dujardin and Scott Brash are also ambassadors for LeMieux’s premium competition equipment and have helped shape the company’s range of saddle pads, boots and associated products.
The input and feedback received from many riders has been instrumental in the development of the LeMieux range and it is the company’s intention to build on this in 2017 with the launch of a further range of showing products. This is one of the reasons why the company’s owners – former Olympic event rider Robert Lemieux and his wife Lisa – were so keen to sponsor at HOYS, so long the pinnacle of the showing world.
“It’s a privilege for LeMieux to support the La Liga Awards at HOYS and we’re delighted to have agreed a three year sponsorship deal providing us with the opportunity to give something back to the sport,” said Robert Lemieux. “This sponsorship is part of a long term commitment to Showing.”
The LeMieux name is now well known in Showing for its wide range of saddle pads in both plain fabrics and luxury Merino wool, as well as an expanded range of boots, bandages and new collection of cooling rugs, establishing it as one of the UK’s leading equestrian brands.
Grandstand Media, organisers of HOYS commented; “We are delighted to receive the support of LeMieux through their sponsorship of the La Liga Awards. To have such an established company sponsoring the ever-popular awards series puts us in great-stead for the forthcoming season.”
