Day 4 Round up from Somerford Park Premier League Dressage
Monday 29th May
Sadie Smith won the Prix St George with her 10yo Keystone Dynamite whom she has owned since a 4yo. Sadie is based with Carl Hester and Charlotte Dujardin and has been working with them since September, ‘Its amazing and they’ve both helped me to warm up. Yesterday I didn't have such a great ride and had to retire, but today was so much better and he was back on form.’
They went on to claim a second place later in the day in the Inter I. Sadie’s next outing is Bolesworth to do the Inter I Freestyle, ‘I’ve never been to Bolesworth or done a show like that and I’m very excited’.
Having won Sunday’s Grand Prix Becky Moody and the 10 yo Carinsio took top honours in Monday’s Grand Prix Special sponsored by Crow-wood Water Treadmill.
Talking of Carinsio ‘I’ve had him since he was a 3 year old, he is incredible and I’m very lucky to have him. He’s very quirky but very trainable, brilliant temperament, and he’s a very exciting prospect for the future.’
Speaking of Florentina earlier on in the weekend Charlotte Dujardin said, ‘Florentina will be making her little surprise come out and hopefully be a good girl an it’s nice to have her here.’
The fabulous Florentina did not disappoint, producing a dazzling test to secure Charlotte Dujardin a win in Monday's Advanced Medium.
Charlotte Dujardin’s promising 8 year old En Vogue had a tremendous weekend and claimed top honours with her final outing on Monday afternoon in Inter I.
