Students of The Academy by Neue Schule were amongst guests at the prestigious Livery Reception hosted by The Worshipful Company of Loriners, at the Guild Hall, London last month.

Students Miranda Jupp, Dawn Wagstaff, and Jeanine Jansen were each presented with The Loriners' Award medal in acknowledgment of their excellent performance, following their top scores in The Academy bitting courses. Mexico-based student Jose Cascado was unable to attend the event but received his award by post.

“As a riding instructor I’ve worked through various mainstream equine qualifications, none of which covered in depth, the important subject of bitting.” Miranda Jupp explained. “Receiving the Loriners’ Award was a lovely surprise and definitely made the time I put into more technical aspects of the intermediate course feel well worth it.”

Jeanine Jansen said “I’m really honoured to receive the Lorinery Award,it’s a wonderful and completely unexpected bonus and I feel privileged that I can be a small part of this wonderful tradition.”

Dr Graham Cross, Director of Studies at The Neue Schule Academy added “The Livery Reception was a wonderful evening and a fitting way to reward our students for their dedication to the course.” He added “It also proved to be a great opportunity for the students to share their knowledge and insight with members of the Worshipful Company of Loriners, who showed great interest in this modern approach to their traditional craft.”
