Welcome a new Contender from FMBs Therapy Systems
FMBs Therapy Systems has added a new product to its range of advanced therapy rugs for horses, called the Contender.
The Contender, from Activo-Med, is a new rug that applies pulsed electromagnetic field therapy (PEMF) from the top of the horse’s neck to top of tail via eight strategically placed PEMF spools. The spools are located over the main muscle groups and help to support improved suppleness, muscle tone and overall condition. Due to the product’s design, the Contender is available for considerably less money than the Combi Pro Rug.
“We’re really excited to launch this new product,” said Serena Hickson, Managing Director of FMBs Therapy Systems. “The rug is a great starter rug, a superb second rug, ideal for staying away at shows, and is much lighter too as there are no massage modules. The control box is also easier to operate, but still affords a large degree of control as the operator can choose the time frame and frequency of the session.”
The Contender is made using mesh with additional fabric housing the PEMF spools. The mesh construction also allows air to flow down the horse’s back, to help keep him cool. It can be used with additional rugs over the top on cooler days too. As per the Combi Pro II, the Activo-Med Contender has a two year warranty.
The Activo-Med Contender costs £1950 (inc VAT). As per the other products in the Activo-Med range, finance options are available, depending on the customer’s requirements.
