Eventing competitors are set to converge on Oasby Horse Trials, as the season gets underway for the team at organiser’s BEDE Events.
Oasby, Lincolnshire will take place on Friday and Saturday, April 2 and 3 with the possibility of sections also running on Sunday, April 4 depending on entries.
Held over flat ground with just one valley, the cross country course will be designed to give horses and riders a confidence building first event of the season.

Said BEDE’s Stuart Buntine: “We are aware that both horses and riders will be short of schooling rounds so have designed the courses with this in mind.
“It is brilliant to get the green light to run Oasby and we are looking forward to catching up with the many competitors who are great supporters of the events we run.
“Oasby provides a great first run to the season for many competitors as they get their competitive year underway, let’s hope momentum continues and we can all enjoy fantastic sport.”
Sections include BE90, BE90Ou18, BE100, BE100 Open, BE100Ou18, Novice, Open Novice, Pony Trial, Intermediate, Open Intermediate and OIu21.
Oasby runs on the first weekend of the resumption of the sport with British Eventing working hard to get competitive activity up and running once again.
To give riders an opportunity to have a run cross country and to prepare for the season ahead, Oasby will also be hosting a schooling day on Monday, April 5 at £25 per horse.
Cross country schooling will take place over the 90cm and 100cm courses and must be pre-booked in advance.
