The Parelli South West team will be in action at the Westcountry Equine Fair where they will be providing interesting and educational demonstrations for you to enjoy.
Led by 4* Parelli Professionals, Alison Jones and David Zuend there will be demonstrations in the indoor arena on both days.
The Westcountry Equine Fair takes place on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th December, at the Westpoint Centre, Exeter. This equine spectacular is sure to provide a brilliant weekend of shopping and interactive demonstrations from a variety of top class horsemen and women. For all your equestrian needs, the fair has it covered. It is the perfect opportunity to meet riders and owners from across the West Country and stock up before Christmas.
The Parelli South West team will be sharing their expertise with the audience and helping you promote a calm, willing, brave and athletic horse. The methods used are suitable for all horses, regardless of age, size or breed and can be useful in a range of disciplines from dressage and showjumping to hacking and hunting.
Based on respect for and empathy with horses, Parelli focuses on understanding horse nature and psychology to enable anyone at any level, whether you are a beginner or international competitor, to have fun with horses and achieve their best possible results, with a natural approach.
The Parelli programme teaches you to achieve success without force, partnership without dominance, teamwork without fear, willingness without intimidation, and harmony without coercion – all based on love, language and leadership.
The team will explain the use of their ‘Four Savvys’ which form the basis of all their work. These are areas of development through which horse and rider progress, as their training develops. A central feature of the Parelli programme is the acknowledgement that improvement of horsemanship is a continuous pursuit for those passionate about the horse. Therefore the techniques used should be applied throughout the partnership between horse and rider, with a never ending quest for progression.
The Parelli demonstrations are sure to offer a fascinating insight to the training of a horse using natural horsemanship methods. The true connection that is present between horse and rider is demonstrated through bridleless riding and Freestyle riding on a loose rein and Liberty groundwork with no halter.
There will also be a prize draw running over both days to offer one lucky winner the fantastic opportunity to have a day of training with 4* Parelli Professional, Alison Jones. Don’t miss out on the chance to win this brilliant prize which will be really useful for you and your horse.
So make sure you are there to watch and absorb this amazing development of bond and trust and what you may be able to achieve with your horse or pony.
