In 2019, riding holiday specialist, Ranch Rider will add two small group "Range Rider” experiences to its collection. The special weeks will take place at Wyoming’s remote, 1,300-acre Bitterroot Working Guest Ranch, the property surrounded by the Shoshone National Forest, where the ranch’s 450 head of Black Angus and Scottish Highland cattle graze (the ranch has a special permit to ride and operate in what is the first federally protected National Forest in the United States), and a 52,000 acre wildlife refuge.

Tony Daly, Managing Director of Ranch Rider comments, “Dedicated to serious riders, the Range Rider weeks will each take a maximum of six riders so early booking is recommended,, the riding holidays including three days of all-day picnic rides, with guests helping the cowhands to accomplish all of the tasks necessary to a working cattle ranch operation, including checking fence lines, looking for wolf and bear kills, delivering salt and moving cows.”

On the remaining days, there will be the opportunity to participate in two to three hour morning and afternoon rides, the trails covering some extremely varied terrain - sagebrush plains, grassy meadows and rocky gorges giving way to forested mountains and alpine clearings.  A landscape filled with historic treasures, one of Butch Cassidy’s hideouts is a "must see" for fans of the Wild West.
