SOLIHULL Riding Club was in triumphant form at the British Riding Clubs Equitheme Intermediate Winter Championships.
Held at Bury Farm in Buckinghamshire, the four-strong team came out the champions in the 110 Team Show Jumping after a great effort.
Kate Allely rode Arkade Fire an eight-year-old she has owned and ridden for three years with the pair mainly competing in eventing.
Team mate Zara Doidge-Walker rode the 13-year-old, Biberty Boberty Boo. She has been a member of Solihull Riding Club for 12 years and has owned Biberty Boberty Boo since a youngster.
Abi Castle and Young Sorrento are something of a family tradition. Young Sorrento is owned by friend, Nicky Allbut and before Abi took over the ride, her mother used to compete the 19-year-old.
Said Abi: “He really has been passed down the family and is such a star who gives us so much fun.”
Fourth team member, Grace Barnard and Summer Rush, completed a great double clear and were understandably delighted with the result.
Said Grace: “It is just brilliant to take the team competition. Thankyou to Equitheme for the sponsorship.”
