Leading sport horse professionals, Springfield Stud are to sponsor the prestigious Four-year-old Showcase at this year’s Osberton International Horse Trials.
Based near Shrewsbury, Springfield Stud has a small selection of stallions available suitable for eventing and competition horse breeding.
The Four-year-old Showcase provides a fantastic opportunity for young horses to experience a competition in an international setting and takes place on Thursday, September 29.
As part of this year’s competition, the team at Springfield Stud is also providing the owners of the highest placed British Bred Horse (mare or gelding) with a nomination to either Ansiei or Venterprise on a Live Foal Guarantee to be used in the 2023 breeding season.
Said John Chambers of Springfield Stud: “We are excited to have the opportunity to sponsor the Four-year-old Showcase at Osberton International.
“One of our stallions competed in the class a number of years ago and we are huge supporters of the young horse sections and British Breeding.
“As a Sport Horse stud, we are keen to put something back into the world of eventing and are very much looking forward to the event.”
Competitors in this year’s Four-year-old Showcase will complete a dressage test and then move onto the show jumping and cross country phase which will include approximately 8 show jumps and then straight onto the cross country which will include water and banks, at BE90 level, taking in mind horses age and experience.
Plans are well underway for this year’s Osberton International Horse Trials set to attract the country’s leading event riders to this autumn fixture.
The event runs from September 29 to October 2 and incorporates the prestigious British Young Horse Championship, supported by the Howden Way.
