Technology startup Whickr has added a new website for buying and selling horses to its stable of products. The launch of its new site follows the launch of its app; the first mobile application in the UK for buying and selling horses. An app that boasts over 20,000 downloads and has featured in the top 100 apps in the UK App Store under the Sports category.
The new website brings the Whickr experience of buying and selling horses to a larger audience of equestrians. Potential buyers can view essential information in a clean, easy to view format. Geolocation technology is used to sort horses by distance, and smart filters to refine the list of horses for sale based on buyer requirements. Buyers are able to create profiles, add horses to their Stable for further comparison and share adverts with friends. For sellers, profile pages display a portfolio of current and previously sold horses, the create advert process takes a matter of minutes, and the mobile app has a built in messaging service to connect buyers and sellers instantly.
Co-founders, Andrew Amy, Brooke Allan and Leon James have extensive experience working in a broad variety of technology startups, software development agencies and wealth management companies.

Andrew Amy commented, “The launch of our new website means we can help people buy and sell horses using Whickr across different devices and applications. We are very happy with what we’ve achieved but there is still much to be done to build a marketplace that is invaluable to equestrians.”
