Abbey England, a family run business is known for supplying and producing quality British products to a diverse range of industries, especially for saddlery, leather goods and the fashion industry both at home and abroad.

- Abbey England has a total of 11 family members across 3 generations who work for the business, plus their 3 dogs Purdy, Paddy and Quinn who are based at the Knutsford warehouse.
- Abbey operate 3 manufacturing units, including a rubber moulding company supplying high quality rubber reins and overreach boots, a lock making unit and a foundry which produces traditional brassware for the saddlery, fashion and gift markets.
- In order to cater for Abbey’s growing clientele, the company produces bespoke solid brass castings for the fashion industry as well as numerous running events and agricultural fairs throughout the year.
- Abbey England have developed long lasting relationships with people all over the world. The company currently exports to 62 countries across all continents.
- With a wide range of traditional materials and hardware, Abbey supplies numerous costume departments from some of the largest Blockbuster films. However, they won’t name drop!
- Abbey are committed to making British made bits and has over 3,000 patterns suiting all riding disciplines.
- In 2017, the company installed an additional larger furnace into their 1832 Foundry, thus allowing them to expand their product offering. Abbey now produce solid brass sundials and door knockers to the home and garden markets.
- Supporting British manufacturing has always been vitally important to the company. Where possible, Abbey England has maintained British production by both buying manufacturing businesses to ensure survival and supporting others by sourcing British produced items. Despite efforts, some products are no longer produced in the UK and therefore Abbey have had to source from overseas. Through vigorous searching and quality checks, the company has carefully selected some of the best suppliers around the world to ensure high standards are met which meet the needs of their customers.
- In 2017, Abbey England launched their first ever Abbey Scholarship. A scheme designed to help up and coming saddlers and leatherworkers build up their workshop with the necessary tools and materials worth £500.00. Due to the success of the scholarship, Abbey will be launching the scheme once again in September 2018.
- Abbey is the UK distributor for BioThane USA, a coated PVC webbing used in multiple industries. In 2014, Abbey sent over £70,000 worth of Biothane webbing to West Africa which was made up into belts for breathing apparatus for personnel involved in the Ebola crisis.
