If you are looking for a bedding with strong environmental credentials then look no further than Terravesta Equine.

Terravesta Equine is made from finely chopped Miscanthus, a renewable grass grown by British farmers that is 100% natural.

Miscanthus is a perennial crop that’s planted once and harvested annually, meaning the soil underneath it goes undisturbed for 20 + years. It thrives on unused or unproductive farmland and requires no artificial fertilisers, encouraging biodiversity on UK farms, storing carbon underground and boosting soil health.

Completely sustainable, Miscanthus is a rapid growing crop with a high yield that is harvested each year and turned into horse bedding with nothing else added.

The production of biomass crops such as Miscanthus helps to reduce our reliance on fossil-derived products, making it an extremely environmentally friendly bedding option.

Due to the porous pith inside the Miscanthus cane, the bedding is particularly absorbent, is 100% biodegradable and produces a relatively small muck heap, breaking down in half the time of other bedding materials such as shavings, meaning large quantities of bedding can be disposed of easily.

Unlike other bedding materials, the organic matter does not remove nitrogen from the land in order to be broken down, and therefore can be beneficially incorporated back into the soil. The film packaging is also fully recyclable.

Available in compact 20kg bales, a pallet contains 35 bales and cost £314.52 which includes UK mainland delivery
