Set your 2016 Eventing season off on the best foot possible with the 2016 International Eventing Forum, a day that has become an absolute “must attend” for eventing enthusiasts of all levels of skill and ambition!

While there is no doubt that the sport of eventing has experienced many changes over the years, it could be argued that the simple fact is that the sport is very much as it has always been, but updated to suit today's needs.

With that in mind, the theme of the 2016 International Eventing Forum is “Back to the Future”. The focus will be on the qualities, thoughts and principles that riders, trainers and event organisers can bring with them that do not need reinventing and which will help us all with the sport of eventing today and tomorrow.

This year’s panel of speakers reads like a “who’s-who” of eventing legends, with non-other than 6 times Badminton winner Lucinda Green heading the line-up. Now one of the world’s foremost cross country riding trainers, Lucinda will no doubt provide attendees with a treasure chest of invaluable insights into riding for eventing success.

Angela Tucker joins forces with GBR team stalwarts Pippa Funnell and Tina Cook for another key session, focusing on the foundations of eventing with a look at “What Doesn’t Change?”

3-time USA Olympian Jimmy Wofford is widely sought after as a clinician and coach and is equally well known as an author. Listed by the Chronicle of the Horse as one of the “50 Most Influential Horseman” of the 20th century, Jimmy will undoubtedly entertain and educate with “An Eventful Story”.

David Kearney is a member of the Professional Golfers Association and has enjoyed a distinguished career as a ‘teaching professional and mentor’ to many professional and amateur golfers. In a sport where the mind of the individual is pitted against the course, and the athlete is continually having to react and respond, David’s session “The Helpful Coach” will draw on the many similarities between golf and eventing, where the coach has to prepare the student.

A session about the “Use and Effect of Studs” from leading experts in their field Andrew Mahon and John Killingbeck completes what will undoubtedly be another fantastic day of eventing insights.

The 2016 International Eventing Forum will take place at Hartpury College on Monday 1st of February from 10am to 5pm. Tickets in previous years have sold out, so make sure you don’t miss out by putting the date in your diary and reserving your ticket today
