Get appy!
Mobile apps are a great way of keeping track of your life with minimal time and effort. Apps such as MyFitnessPal and Hydro Coach remind you to stay healthy and allow you to keep track of your water intake, diet and exercise.
Knowing where you’re starting from and having goals to work towards, even if it’s just to jog to the end of the road and back, will help you stay focused.
Don’t forget your gloves and hand cream
The hands of a horse rider take a real bashing – filling hay nets, removing ice from frozen troughs, and even just holding your reins can damage the delicate skin on your hands.
However, it only takes a few minutes to rub a cream into your poor hands and it could make all the difference. Invest in a good quality hand cream and keep a comfortable set of gloves in your grooming kit to provide even more protection.
