Known for their unrivalled team of ex-serviceman, WHMG are delighted to further demonstrate support for the Armed Forces Community by signing a Corporate Covenant and are proud to announce they have been granted Bronze level membership to the scheme with high hopes for progression to Silver this year.
WHMG Director Douglas Hinckley (himself an ex Regular officer and now serving Reserve Officer) is confident that this is only the start of a special accolade to the business. “We will be moving up the levels of this MOD supported scheme at a rapid rate”, said Mr Hinckley. "We are proud to offer employment to ex-servicemen and woman and are honoured to share what they have contributed to their country and the sacrifices they have made for all of us. We also know that it gives our clients extra confidence in our company knowing that we have a team they can trust and have great pre-proven abilities". The servicemen are not the only key part of this scheme but also their families who often provide key skills in our industry.
The WHMG team who apply ‘their own very particular set of skills’ bring an unrivalled level of service to the events industry. From Site Management, to event security and close protection of VIPs, the WH team are on site at events across the UK consistently providing a friendly professional attitude, instilled in them from not only years of experience serving their country but our own unique company training. The Corporate Covenant since 2011, has helped regular serving personnel in a number of ways and is about ensuring that the armed forces community are continually supported as they should be.
The corporate covenant has been designed to complement the armed forces covenant and sit alongside the community covenant. The armed forces covenant sets out the moral obligation of society towards members of the armed forces community and the community covenant provides a mechanism for local authorities and communities to express support for members of the armed forces community. The corporate covenant is designed to allow businesses and charitable organisations to express their support, and commit to ways in which they can provide that support.
The WH Group continues to grow it’s portfolio this year adding to the already established events we attend throughout 2015 with our team, such as the The Royal International Horse Show & Royal Windsor Horse Show, followed by rowing’s crown jewel, The Henley Royal Regatta and the summer musical showpiece The Henley Festival.
